Exams and assessments are composed of sets of questions that have been authored and stored in the Meazure item bank.
Exam shells: The settings and notes that are associated with an exam, containing any number of exam forms.
Exam forms: The exam generated using the terms set forth by the exam shell.
- Exam forms cannot be moved from one shell to another. If an exam form is built under the wrong shell, the exam will need to be rebuilt under the correct shell.
A rules-based exam is a method of generating an exam based on specific conditions. Instead of manually selecting individual questions for each exam, Meazure is able to pull questions from the account’s item banks to create randomized exams. To use rules-based exams, the item bank must be configured to reflect the exam blueprint.
A static exam is an exam created with a specific intent for each question (assigned by canonical ID). This is usually given an order to it, such as Question 1 will be Canonical ID X. Meazure also has the ability to instantiate a rules-based exam form and save it, effectively rendering it into a static exam form.
