The Meazure Exam Platform delivers exams in two formats:
- Proctored
- Unproctored
Unproctored exams can be written unsupervised and do not require a session. Proctored exams are monitored by trained proctors that are personally overseeing the security context of the examination. When a user has been granted a proctored exam, it must be scheduled into an exam session.
There are 3 primary types of sessions available. The session type (Public/Online/Paper) cannot be edited after the session is created. Note that the session type cannot be edited after it has been created.
Public/online sessions
- Visible to candidates in the booking portal during its booking window.
- Can be configured as an in-person session if a venue is assigned.
- Can be configured as an online proctoring session if the ‘Remote’ option is chosen.
Private/online sessions
- Only visible to administrators with booking permissions through the Meazure admin portal.
- Candidates are not able to access these booking dates through their booking portal.
- Since administrators are the only ones to access these, cancellation policies, withdraw/transfer deadlines do not have to be configured unless that is your preference.
Paper sessions
- Paper sessions can be private (admins only) or public (candidate facing).
- These sessions will offer the option for administrators with the correct permissions to print a paper copy of the exam directly from the session.
- Paper exams are typically written offline on a bubble sheet.
Which sessions to create
- For remote proctored-only exams, one continuous online session can be created.
- For in-person only exams, a series of in-person sessions must be created for each available exam date/time.
- For hybrid exams (in-person and remote proctored exams), one online session and the appropriate series of in-person sessions must be created.
