Below is a description of the session settings:
Administration: An administration is a label used to identify and encapsulate an exam sitting. An administration has a wide range of applications, including registration, form balancing, results delivery, and reporting. It is also required for any exams graded via RedPen.
Open Booking: This date determines when candidates are able to schedule net new appointments. Prior to this date, candidates are not able to access the booking calendar.
Deadline: Past this date, candidate cannot make net new appointments at all. This includes candidates who are scheduling for the first-time and candidates who have cancelled/withdrawn a previous appointment. This date does not apply to administrators who schedule candidates from the administrator portal.
Cancellation Policy: Past this date, candidates are no longer able to access any self-serve options. This includes rescheduling or withdrawals. This should will with the end of an exam session for remote proctoring and the beginning of in-person sessions. If a rescheduling or cancellation is required past this date, contact Meazure Learning at testingsupport@meazurelearning.com.
Withdraw Deadline: Past this date, candidates are no longer able to view or access the withdraw buttons. If this date is set past the deadline, candidates will not be able to reschedule themselves into a new session. The withdraw deadline is tied to the candidate’s actual booking date/time. The withdraw deadline only applies to "remote" sessions.
- Withdrawals are a complete cancellation of an appointment.
- Withdrawals will reset the grant status to ‘ready to book’
- New appointments after a withdrawal are considered net new bookings.
Reschedule (aka "Transfer") Deadline: Past this date, candidates are no longer able to view or access the Reschedule button. If this date is set past the deadline, this feature is still fully functional. The transfer deadline is tied to the candidate’s actual booking date/time. The reschedule deadline only applies to "remote" sessions.
- Rescheduling simultaneously cancels the original appointment and prompts the candidate to confirm a new appointment date/time
- Reschedules can only happen within the original and future sessions.
- It is not possible to reschedule from in-person to online proctored or vice versa.
Capacity: This is the number of seats available for the given session. Capacity can be used to limit the number of candidates writing on a specific date given that each exam date has its own exam session.
Security Levels: This determines the sensitivity of the automations used in the ProctorU system for online proctored exams.
- It is generally recommended to set all sessions to the ‘Low’ setting.
- For in-person sessions, the Lock Down Browser will enforce all needed security measures.
- For remote proctored sessions, the ‘Low’ setting will ensure all external resources will be accessible.
- We do not recommend using the 'Medium' or ‘High’ security settings, as it can have a negative impact within the Meazure integration for proper access and exam navigation.
Below are additional terms commonly used in the Meazure platform and documentation:
