There are 2 methods to granting exams: individually or in bulk. This article will describe both options.
Granting exams individually
To issue a grant for a single candidate user, follow the steps below:
- Click on the “User” tab
- Search the user you need to issue a grant for
- Click “Edit” to access their account
- Click on “Granted Exams” in the left user navigation menu
- Under the available grants listing, you will see “Grant Exam.” Click this to open the grant editor
- Enter the appropriate exam grant details and restrictions:
- Exam: This is the exam shell. If the drop-down menu is long, try typing the name of the exam or the exam shell ID to filter the list.
- Exam Form: This is optional; as long as the exam form group is active, Meazure will assign a form.
- Exam Form Group: Only active exams can be written.
- Number of Uses: Maximum number of times the grant can be written. The default is Unlimited. You must actively restrict this value.
- Start Time: The date and time that must elapse before this exam will be available.
- Expiry Date: The date after which the exam will no longer be available to write. Exams cannot be scheduled beyond this date.
- Send the Exam Grant email, if applicable
- Complete the process by clicking "Grant" on the third modal screen
Tip: If the Next button is obscured because of the email preview, click on the Confirm button in the grant modal.
Granting exams in bulk
A bulk exam grant will allow you to issue exam grants with the same parameters to multiple candidate users.
For a small handful of candidates, it can be effective to search for each user individually and "select" them.
- To select a candidate user, click on the checkmark next to their Meazure ID so that it is highlighted in green. These selected candidates will be isolated in the 'Selected Users' tab on the Users screen.
- Alternatively, a User Group can be used to identify a group of candidates that needs the exam grant. Once the users are imported, isolate them by opening the Users tab and applying the appropriate user group filter, next to the search bar.
- Select all of the users within the user group (you may need to increase your page size, or click through more than one page) and then toggle to Selected Users.
- To grant an exam to these candidates, click on the Grant exam... button at the bottom of the screen to open the exam grant editor. Enter the appropriate exam grant details and restrictions:
- Exam: This is the exam shell. If the drop-down menu is long, try typing the name of the exam or the exam shell ID to filter the list.
